Point Nepean National Park

Portsea, VIC

About

A coastal reserve at the very tip of the Mornington Peninsula, Portsea, spanning historic Quarantine Station buildings dating from the 1850s, the WWI and WWII-era Fort Nepean gun emplacements, and scenic coastal walking trails with views across the notoriously treacherous 'Rip' at the entrance to Port Phillip Bay. Free entry, open daily; a shuttle bus operates on weekends and holidays for the longer walk to Fort Nepean itself.
