From Plant to Product

About this event

This workshop takes what we discover in nature and brings it back to our hands. We’ll explore how plants can be harvested, dried, prepared and transformed into useful everyday products. Along the way, we’ll look at traditional methods of working with and preserving plants, as well as some of the science behind why these processes work. Most importantly, we’ll make things ourselves. Everyone will create something to take home and use, while learning practical skills that connect botany, traditional knowledge, science and everyday life. Suitable for children, teens and adults.
