Wild and Wonderful - Foraging and Botany

Friday 16 October 2026

About this event

A hands-on workshop exploring the incredible edible and useful wild plants growing right around us. We’ll head outdoors to identify plants in the real world, explore basic botany and plant families, look closely at plant structures and learn about safe and ethical foraging. We’ll also explore some of the traditional ways plants have been used for food, nourishment and everyday life. Rather than learning about plants from a page, we’ll be outside finding them, touching them, observing their features and learning how to recognise them for ourselves. Suitable for children, teens and adults. Learning happens together and everyone can participate at their own level.
